Built on Trust

Members are personally invited — not randomly discovered. Chances are, they were on the same retreat as you, trained with someone you know, use similar eco products as you, and have read the same books. Trust is built in before anyone arrives at your door.

The Philosophy

Hosting in this community means welcoming people who share your values. “We may meet as strangers, but often leave as friends.” Guests who respect your home as a sanctuary — because they have one too.

The Circle in Action

More than a place to stay. A community that travels with you.

Attending a retreat or training?

Stay with a host who gets it — before, during, or after. A yoga mat waiting. A cushion ready. Space to practice so your container stays smooth, even when you're away from home.

Traveling solo?

Your host shares more than a room. They share their world — the studio they practice at, the acupuncturist they trust, the farmer's market on Saturdays, ecstatic dance on Sundays, the hike that feels like a retreat. You're not just a guest in their home. You're a visiting guest of their community.

Creating your own retreat?

Met your people at a training? Gather again. Book a Sanctuary home that fits your circle — space for practice, a shared kitchen, maybe a sauna or a view of the sea. No facilitator needed. Just you and the people who get it.

Need more than a short stay?

Find a flatmate, a sublet, a pet sit, or a long-term rental — all within a circle you already trust. Mold-free. Vegan-friendly. Good energy. Spaces held by people walking the same path.

Common Questions

Who are the members?

Yoga teachers, retreat leaders, studio owners, practitioners, and conscious travelers from communities worldwide. People who live what they practice — and travel the same way.

How does trust work?

Every member has a detailed bio, linked social profiles, and a visible referral trail. You'll know exactly where someone comes from and who connected them. This isn't a platform where anyone can sign up.

Can I join if I rent my home?

Yes — as long as your lease allows guests. Many members rent their homes and host beautifully. You set the terms: a private room while you're home, or your whole space while you travel. Longer-term conscious housing and flatshare options are also available for renters seeking aligned living situations.

Is there a booking fee?

Yoga Homestays is a referral network, not a booking platform. We connect members directly — we never handle transactions or take a cut. Hosts and guests arrange stays themselves, whether through OM Points exchange, mutual swaps, skill trades, or direct payment through the host's own link. Annual membership keeps the community running.

Do I need to leave my current platform?

Not at all. If you host on other platforms, keep them. Yoga Homestays isn't here to replace your income — it's here to expand your community. Many hosts list their space elsewhere for paid bookings and use YH for exchanges, skill trades, and connecting with aligned travelers they'd never meet otherwise. Two ecosystems, one home.

Share your sanctuary. Stay in one wherever you go.

Something beautiful is taking shape — this is your invitation to co-create a global home for those who travel with heart.

A Warm Welcome From Our Founder
Jocelyn Joy Konarski, Founder

Travel has been my greatest teacher. A lifelong journey of learning, listening, and connecting — shaped by the people I've met along the way. Strangers who became friends. Moments that have stayed with me long after I left.

As a yogi, I've always believed that how we move through the world matters — how we arrive, how we share space, and how we respect the people and places that welcome us.

Yoga Homestays was created from this intention: to bring together a community of people who travel and host with presence, openness, and care.

This is a space for intentional travelers — for those who value connection over transaction, and who arrive as strangers, and leave as friends.

I'm so glad you're here.

— Jocelyn Joy Konarski
